SOCIO Pakistan, funded by The World Bank, conducted a mapping study across several towns in Balochistan to identify and estimate high-risk groups such as female and male sex workers and injecting drug users. This project provides crucial data to tailor effective HIV prevention and health interventions in the province.
The Mapping of High Risk Groups project was a foundational study designed to capture the epidemiological landscape of HIV risk in Balochistan. By dividing the province into zones and conducting field surveys, SOCIO Pakistan gathered detailed information on high-risk activities, behaviors, and population estimates.
