SOCIO Pakistan upgraded the OPPC in Quetta between April 6, 2015, and June 30, 2015, to replace outdated technology with modern equipment. This upgrade not only improved the quality of prosthetic and physiotherapy services but also reduced patient discomfort and enhanced service delivery.
At OPPC Quetta, outdated technology was leading to the production of prosthetics that were heavy, painful, and ill-fitting. In response, SOCIO Pakistan implemented an upgrade project to replace old equipment with modern, efficient machinery. The initiative included comprehensive training sessions for around 48 OPPC technicians, ensuring they could effectively use the new technology. The project directly benefited 12,732 individuals, with a significant portion being women, thereby enhancing the quality of life for many in the community.
